喝西北风
【注音】hē xī běi fēng
【解释】饿肚子，没吃的。
Nothing to eat, got hungry.
【例子】
例：爸爸吃饭的时候说：“不能总是因为家里的事儿影响我的工作，这么大一家子，就靠我一个人的工资吃饭，如果我失业了，大家喝西北风去呀？”
Ex.：On the dinner table father said：“I shouldn’t be bothered with too many domestic affairs. Such a big family all live on my own salary, in case I was jobless, what will we eat?”

【注音】hóng yǎn bìng
【解释】嫉妒别人，看到别人得了好处或者成功了，眼睛都红了。
We use Hong Yan Bing to describe jealousy for other people’s good luck or success.
【例子】
例：不要看见别人发财了，就得红眼病，自己努力工作，也会有机会的。
Ex.：Don’t be jealous of others’ fortune, rely on yourself and work hard, you will also have a chance to win.
