Qiandao Lake (qiān dǎo hú 千岛湖), or Qiandaohu, is a giant lake with literally 1000 small islands. Many of these islands are developed for tourism. The water is so clean that a major mineral water processing plant is located there.

Qiandao Lake, located in Chun'an County (chún'ān xiàn 淳安县), west of Hangzhou (háng zhōu 杭州), Zhejiang Province (zhè jiāng shěng 浙江省) is one of the first-class national scenic spots and is the largest national forest park at present. The lake covers five hundred and seventy square kilometers including over one thousand islands of different sizes. Besides the surrounding green hills and large amount of animals and plants, it is also famous for its water. The average depth of the water here is more than one hundred feet and the visibility in the water is twenty two to twenty nine feet. As national first-class water it is so pure that it can be drunk directly.

    
Located at the southern tip of the Pearl River Delta (zhū jiāng sān jiǎo zhōu 珠江三角洲) of Guangdong Province (guǎng dōng shěng 广东省), Zhuhai (zhū hǎi 珠海) is one of the five special economic zones in China. It faces Hong Kong  (xiāng gǎng 香港) in the east across the sea and joins Macau (ào mén 澳门) in the south. Also, it is close to many other cities in Guangdong Province.

          
Wulingyuan Scenic Area (wǔ líng yuán fēng jǐng qū 武陵源风景区), lying to the north of Zhangjiajie (zhāng jiā jiè 张家界) City, is a charming tourist attraction. It is one of the 40 famous scenic spots in China. It is said to be 'The ampliative miniascape and the contractible fairyland' and was admitted to the 'World Heritage List' in 1992.

The Temple of Heaven (tiān tán天坛) was the place where the Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would worship Heaven and pray for bumper crops.
The northern part of the outer surrounding wall is semi-circular in shape while the southern part square, a pattern symbolic of the ancient belief that Heaven was round and the earth square. The double surrounding wall separates the temple into two parts—the inner and outer temples with the main structures in the inner one, covering a space of 273 hectares in all.
The inner temple is also partitioned by a wall into two groups of buildings. The north structure is the Altar of Praying for Bumper Crops with the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests as the principal building used to pray in spring for a bumper harvest in the year. The south structure is the Circular Mound Altar used to worship Heaven at the winter solstice where the principal construction is a large round marble terrace named the Circular Mound.
