Kulangsu (Gǚlàngyǚ 鼓浪屿) , literally "Drum Wave Islet" is a car-free island off the coast of Xiàmén, Fujian Province in southern China, about 2 square kilometers (0.77 sq mi) in area. The island landscape typically famous for its beautiful scene , known for it lovely nick name of "Sea Garden" is also a national sign of scenic spots.
A 10-minute boat trip from Xiamen, Gulangyu is a relaxing retreat of meandering lanes and shaded backstreets, set in an architectural twilight of colonial villas and crumbling remains. It’s well worth spending a few days exploring the place. It is home to about 20,000 people and is a very popular tourist destination. |

The Waterwheel Garden (shuǐ chē yuán 水车园) built in 1994, is located in the Binhe Middle Road (bīn hé zhōng lù 滨河中路) in Lanzhou (lán zhōu 兰州) , Gansu Province (gān sù shěng
甘肃省) . The garden covers an area of 1.45 hectares (3.58 acres) and is comprised of two waterwheels, a cofferdam, the recreation area and a house of water mill. It is certainly an exciting experience for the visitors to tour around the Waterwheel Garden, a restoration of the ancient irrigation system. It occupies an area of 14,500 square meters, consisting of a huge double-wheeled waterwheel, a cofferdam, a water mill and amenities.

Bird Island Introduction
Bird Island (Niǎo Dǎo 鸟岛) encompasses two islands, one is Haixi Pi (Hǎixī Pí 海西皮)in the east, and in the west is the Haixi Shan (Haǐxī Shān 海西山) which is four times smaller than the former island but is where most of the birds of the lake congregate. When the spring and summer come, many birds fly from faraway mountains and deserts to breed here. In the noisiest months of April and May, their numbers can amount to ten thousand, 80% to 90% of which stop on the Haixi Shan (Haǐxī Shān 海西山). |
