China represents one of the only regions for real growth and profitability for many international automotive industry players. Making major headlines all over the world, China's importance among western businesses is constantly growing.
Only 33 out of every 1,000 Chinese citizens owns an automobile; China's vehicle stock will increase from 50 million in 2008 to around 500 million in 2030 (269 per 1,000 people). Vehicle ownership is growing 2.2 times as fast as per-capita income.
China is looking for resources, solutions, suppliers and logistics service providers urgently to cope with the huge challenge of becoming the biggest vehicle maker in the near future.
