Surrounded by green grasses and towering ancient trees, Zhaojun Tomb (zhāo jūn mù 昭君墓) is situated nine kilometers south of Hohhot. Standing on the top of the tomb, you can obtain a fabulous view of the vast plains and rolling Yinshan Mountains (yīn shān 阴山) undulating into the distance. It is listed as one of top eight popular scenic spots in Hohhot.

 
Dazhao Temple (dà zhào sì 大召寺) is the oldest and largest temple in Hohhot (hū hé hào tè 呼和浩特). It is located in the old part of Hohhot and was built in 1580 during Ming Dynasty (míng cháo 明朝). Usually, the local people call it Yinfo Temple (yín fó sì 银佛寺) (Silver Buddha Temple) because there is a rare silver statue of Sakyamuni (the founder of Buddhism) with 2.5-meter-high.

  
Hulun Buir (Hulunbeir) Grassland (hū lún bèi ěr dà cǎo yuán 呼伦贝尔大草原) is located in Hailaer (hǎi lā ěr 海拉尔) in the northeast of Inner Mongolia. It is one of the six most beautiful grasslands in China. The Hulun Buir Grassland also enjoys the reputation of the “Most unsullied Grassland” because of the lack of pollution in this area.

 
Xilamuren (xī lā mù rén 希拉穆仁), which means "yellow water" in Mongolian, is also known as Zhaohe (zhào hé 召河). Lying about ninety kilometers (about 56 miles) north of Hohhot (hū hé hào tè 呼和浩特), Xilamuren Grassland is the nearest grassland tourist attraction to Hohhot and the earliest one that developed in Inner Mongolia.
