**In 1930s Shanghai, two couples move into adjacent apartments in a shikumen building. Soon a complicated bond between the men and women emerges. Based on an award-winning movie of the same name, directed by Hong Kong director Wang Kar-wai in 2000,Shanghai Ballet Company has transferred the tragic love story onto the stage. This production features some of Shanghai's most talented ballet stars.

**Shanghai Modernist Drama Group presents I Want to Marry a Rich Man, the story of Xiao Mei, whose sole desire in life is to marry a rich man. Follow the drama as bachelors come and go.

**The Icelandic singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Bjork will make her debut performance in Shanghai as part of The Volta Tour at Shanghai International Gymnastic Center. The worldwide tour is launched in support of her album Volta, recently nominated for a Grammy Award. The show is an extravagant affair with an all-female brass section, lasers, lights, crazy outfits, multiple costume changes, and a set including her most famous hits.

**The Labeque Sisters'performances of classical, rock and electronic material have attracted a great deal of attention. They will perform unique renditions of Joseph-Maurice Ravel's music from Sleeping Beauty, Beauty and the Beast and The Fairy Garden among other pieces.

**Violinist Ingolf Thurban has recorded all six violin concertos of Nicolo Paganini, an Italian violinist and a composer who is considered by many as the greatest of all time. This time, Thurban will imitate Paganini by tuning his 1808 Nicholas Lupot violin a semitone higher. Thurban believes this will make his solos more conspicuous and the strings in the orchestra sound smoother and warmer.

**A variety of works by 11 international photographers is now on display at the Shanghai Museum of Contemporary Art. Titled Unseen, the exhibit is comprised of many photos never seen before in China. Categories include fashion photography, documentary works, portraits and artistic photography.
