Cuiping Mountain
(cuì píng shān 翠屏山) is located in the west Yibin City (yí bīn shì 宜宾市) of Sichuan Province (sì chuān shěng 四川省). It is 507 meters above sea level. With thick vegetations, the lofty mountain is like a green screen towering on the bank of the river, hence the name Cuiping, which means green screen.

Cuiping MountainIn Cuiping Mountain, there is the stone inscriptions called Qianfo Rock (qiān fó yán 千佛岩), which can be traced back to Tang Dynasty (táng cháo 唐朝). In a fine day, standing on the top of the Cuiping Mountain, you can have a bird’s view of the whole Yibin City. Strain your eyes to look at the distance, you can appreciat the Three Pagodas of Xufu (xù fǔ sān tǎ 叙府三塔), namely, Jiuzhou Pagoda (jiù zhōu tǎ 鹫州塔), White Pagoda (bái tǎ 白塔), and Black Pagoda (hēi tǎ 黑塔).

Memorial Hall of Zhao YimanThere is a winding path leading to the top of the mountain, with cirrus and flowers streching on both sides. Pavilions and ponds are well-proportioned. The Cuiping Academy (cuì píng shū yuàn 翠屏书院) is now the Memorial Hall of Zhao Yiman (zhào yī màn jì niàn guǎn 赵一曼纪念馆). Zhao Yiman was a fighter in the resistance against Japanese forces in the Second Sino-Japanese War, which later became a part of the World War II. She fought in China's northeast where she was captured and executed by Japanese forces in 1936. The Hall can be devided into three parts, where exhibits hundreds of documents which are about Zhao Yiman’s deed of her whole life.

Statue of NezhaNezha Cave (né zhà dòng 哪吒洞) is a newly opened scenic spot. In the cave, there is the statue of Nezha. Every year, the pilgrims from Taiwan will come to Cuiping Mountain to worship Nezha. Nezha Palace (né zhà xíng gōng 哪吒行宫) is located on the slope of the mountain, with the characteristics of the Taoist architectures in the Qing Dynasty (qīng cháo 清朝). Covering an area of 330 square meters, the palace is solenm with the black tiles and white walls.

Transportation: you can take bus No. 4 in Yibin and take off at Cuipingshan Stop
