Memorial Hall of Zhang Daqian (zhāng dà qiān jì niàn guǎn 张大千纪念馆) is located in Neijiang City (nèi jiāng shì 内江市) of Sichuan Province (sì chuān shěng 四川省), on the bank of Tuojiang River (tuó jiāng 沱江). Neijiang City is the hometown of Zhang Daqian and the people there constructed the hall in memory of him.

Zhang Daqian, original name is Zhang Zhengquan (zhāng zhèng quán 张正权), was one of the best-known and most prodigious Chinese artists of the 20th century. He is also regarded by many art experts as one of the most gifted master forgers of the 20th century. Born in a family of artists in 1899 in Neijiang, Zhang Daqian studied drawing since he was young. By the age of 30, Zhang Daqian became as famous as Qi Baishi (qí bái shí 齐白石) in China. He hold personal picture exhibition for many times at home and abroad. A staunch supporter of the Kuomintang, he left China in 1948 and moved to Mogi das Cruzes, Brazil, and then to Carmel, California, before finally settling in Taipei, Taiwan. Zhang Daqian was good at Chinese paintings. Within the medium of Chinese ink and color that it seemed he could paint anything. His paintings gained a good reputation all over the world for him.

The Memorial Hall of Zhang Daqian covers an area of 1060 square meters. The stele hanging on the front door of the hall was written by Zhang Xueliang (zhāng xué liáng 张学良). The main architectures are the Dafeng Hall (dà fēng táng 大风堂) and Picture Gallery (huà yuàn 画苑), dotted with corridor, pavilions, ponds, rockeries and gardens. All of them are with white walls, covered with black tiles, rich in the traditional characteristics of the residence. In the memorial hall, there are five exhibition areas, within which there are many art works of Zhang Daqian in different periods, presenting the lifetime of Zhang Daqian and his achievement in art. Standing in the corridor, you can have a bird’s view of the Tuojiang River and overlook the Neijiang City.
