In spring and summer, there are bamboo shoots on the ground, which are in different colors, black, purple, green, and piebald. In autumn and winter, tourists can appreciate the color and the shape of the bamboo. In the garden, there are some scenic spots which tell tourists about the legend and allusion of bamboo. For example, the thatch tells the story of Mengzong (孟宗), and the Zhufengzhandao (zhú fēng zhàn dào 竹峰栈道) will take tourists to the scene of the film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (wò hǔ cáng lóng 卧虎藏龙). In the garden, there is a Bamboo Museum (zhú zǐ bó wù guǎn 竹子博物馆). It is the top bamboo museum in China as well as in the world. The museum covers an area of 12000 square meters, which can be divided into 8 halls, each of which has its own function. In the museum, there exhibits the Riverside Scene at Qingming Festival (qīng míng shàng hé tú 清明上河图) and Orchid Pavilion (lán tíng xù 兰亭序) plaited by bamboo, Julong Bamboo (jù lóng zhú 巨龙竹) which is the biggest and thickest in the world, and the Guli Bamboo (gǔ lǐ zhú 古里竹) which is solid. In the museum, tourists will know many about the history and culture of bamboo in China.
