China, the second largest country of coatings production and consumption, has maintained its production growth rate at above 20%. According to the National Bureau of Statistics, the coatings production of the first ten months in 2007 has reached a record of 4.92 million tons, which accounted for 24.8 % in Guangdong Province. Moreover, activities such as Beijing Olympic Games 2008, Shanghai World Expo and Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010 will comprehensively impels the coatings industry for huge development in China.

COATEXPO, International (GuangZhou) Coatings Printing Inks & Adhesives Exhibition, is organized by Guangdong Coatings Industry Association and Shunde Coating Chamber of Commerce, and is also one of the best business platforms for international suppliers to consolidate and expand their market in China. Market Prospect

According to the statistic provided by National Bureau of Statistic, the monthly production of china coating products, including building coatings and paints,exceed 500,000 tons in succession for the past seven months. By the end of October 2007, the total output of the coating industry had been up to 4,921,000 tons, which exceeded that of 11 months’ total last year, and increased 15.72%. Among the areas, Guangdong, took the first place by total output reaching 1,218,000 tons which accounted for 24.8%.Furthermore,it is also the only area whose output exceeded 1,000,000 tons.

China is the second largest country in the world of coating manufacturing and consuming, approximately 8,000 coating producers which are mainly located around the Pearl River Delta, the world manufacture center, and Yangtze River Delta.Guangzhou,as the central city of South China, adjoins HongKong and Macao and radiates the Southeast Asia area. in 2006, its GDP reached 81 billion dollars which was the top among Shenzhen, Dongguang, Foshan, Zhongshan, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Zhuhai and Zhaoqin. Those nine cities GDP total took 79.87% of Guangdong.
