PNPE - China International Petroleum, Natural Gas and Petrochemical Technology and Equipment Expo - which will join China Steel Tube Expo (CSTE) and China (Tianjin) Steel Industry Expo (CSIE) twosome from 14 to 16 October 2009 as an independent exhibition for petroleum, nature gas and petrochemical. The official PNPE sponsoring bodies are CPEIA (China Petroleum & Petrochemical Equipment Industry Association), Sinopec (China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation) and Shenshi Exhibition (Shenshi International Exhibition (H.K.) Limited).
Tianjin Binhai New Developed Area is another new area after Shenzhen Special Zone and Shanghai Pudong New Area. Strongly supported by the central government, Tianjin has planning to become the national petrochemical base.
