History

In order to guarantee the production and supply of nation-wide competitions, trainings and the international helping programs, the State Sport General Administration (the former State Sports Culture Commission), the Ministry for Light Industry, and the Ministry for Commerce organized 9 National Sporting Goods Planning Meetings during 1972 and 1980. The State Sports Culture Commission, the Ministry for Textile Industry, and the Ministry for Commerce co-organized 2 National Sportswear Planning Meetings. From 1980 to 1992,the State Sports Culture Commission, the Ministry for Light Industry, the Ministry for Textile, and the Ministry for Commerce organized 19 Sports Equipment and Sportswear Ordering Meetings. The Planning Meetings and the Ordering Meetings are the predecessor of the present SportShow. The State Sports Culture Commission, China Council of Light Industry, China Council of Textile, and the Ministry for Domestic Trade co-organized 3 China Sporting Goods Shows from 1993 to 1995.The State Sport General Administration, China Sporting Goods Federation and the various local governments organized 6 SportShows from 1996 to 2002.
