Ever since it was held for the first time in Beijing 1995, this biennial event has become China's leading trade exhibition for the whole nuclear power community. The 2009 event promises to be special in sense that "The Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Energy in the 21st Century", an International Atomic Energy Agency event with participants being Ministers and senior level advisors or representatives of organizations that can make or influence energy related decisions from some 40 countries and regions , will be held in parallel in Beijing over the period of April 20-21, 2009.

MARKET SITUATION

China has embarked on a long term plan to give a 6-fold increase in nuclear generating capacity to at least 50 GWe by 2020 and then a further 3 to 4-fold boost to 120-160 GWe by 2030. Such a move would represent the world's fastest and largest nuclear power expansion .

The 2007 event continued to receive tremendous support from the Chinese governmental authorities and the world's most authoritative nuclear power organizations, bringing together as much business and networking opportunities.
