Optoelectronic Industry Expo (Beijing) & China International Lasers, Optoelectronics and Photonics Exhibition (ILOPE), organized by COEMA and CIEC and supported by CCPIT and the Ministry of Information Industry, was launched in 1992 with the mission of serving as the bridge between the home and abroad leading companies, suppliers and buyers and experts and technicians to enhance the communication on the business affairs or exchange their views and to provide a platform for overseas companies to understand and step into Chinese opto-electronics market.

With more than ten years development, ILOPE had attracted more than 120 thousand professional visitors, business men and decision makers from 36 countries, about 269 reporters of publications and TV stations from 15 countries and 27 trade delegations organized by the foreign associations and commercial chambers and held more than 100 seminars by inviting about 138 experts from North America, Germany, Italy, France, Russia and Chinese Academy of sciences to make a speech during the show. The total signed contract revenue at the ILOPE achieved $ 160 million in the past ten years. At present, this show has become the premier and leading event in China to find the business opportunities, purchase the latest equipments and show their latest technology and equipments. About 90% of exhibitors were satisfied with the result of the show. They thought the show was far beyond their expectations and it has ranked the top in this community in China.

Expo Feature 　

ILOPE has been attracting about ten thousand professional visitors in and out abroad every year. And nearly half of them are not from Beijing. The visitors include market salesmen, product manufacturing fellows and senior supervisors in enterprises etc .People from all levels of optoelectronic industry are coming here with their specific purpose.
ILOPE is a platform for the communication and trade between enterprise exhibitors and massive potential clients as well as partners. It also provides many chances for cooperation and trade. This also makes ILOPE a successful and worth-visiting optoelectronic trade　exposition.　In 2004, visitors coming to ILOPE amounted to ten thousand, one hundred and thirty-six.

On the whole, visitors coming to ILOPE have much relevant knowledge and the topic of trade affairs is highly emphasized. Eighty-two percent of the exhibitors are satisfied with the visitors and seventy-five of them approved the trade effects. The number of visitors from overseas as well as those from Hongkong and Taiwan district has been highly increased, making five percent of the total number. Among them are: twenty-four percent from European Unions, seventeen percent from Taiwan district, thirteen percent from America, twelve percent from Japan, eight percent from Korea, seven percent from India as well as North Korea, five percent from Hongkong district and four percent from Russia.

Highlights

Photonics Invest Asia, organized by SPECTRARIS, COEMA and CIEC, attracted 31 EU companies from Germany, Italy, France and UK and 198 Chinese companies to attend this investment meeting. During this meeting, companies from home and abroad made good use of this opportunity to find their potential clients or partners to discuss the investment projects based on their own requirements in the fields of Laser & laser applications, optical components, LCD, LED and fiber communications.
