How to Apply for Shanghai Finance University's Exchange Students Program
Shanghai Finance University (SHFU) is two-term educational system. Its academic year is split into fall semester and spring semester.
· Fall semester usually lasts from September to January (vary form year to year)
· Spring semester usually lasts from February to July (vary form year to year)
Foreign students who want to apply for SHFU's exchange students program please submit the following materials to International Exchange Office's Ms Yan Dan

| 3. | The copy of original certificate of senior high school. In the event the language of the certificate is neither Chinese nor English, please provide the Chinese or English version which must be notarized. | |
| 4. | The copy of original transcript of all the courses of senior high school and university. In the event the language of the certificate is neither Chinese nor English, please provide the Chinese or English version which must be notarized. | |

| 6. | Copy of passport (within the period of validity) | |

About studying at SHFU, please refer to document "How SHFU's International Students Go through Registration and Visa Procedure".
Currently there is no deadline for applying for our exchange students. However, we recommend that your students can submit their application form to our side before July 1 and December 31 every year.
About VISA
If your students just stay in Shanghai for half a year, we strongly recommend you to apply for the 180 days "F" visa.
If they fail, then we recommend you students apply for 3 month travel visa. After they arrive in Shanghai, we will help them to change the travel visa to student visa. For detail, please refer to the document "Visa-en". Please refer to documents "Issue on visa" and "about how to apply for stay permission".
Attention: Since Chinese law on foreigner's visa is very complex, please make sure read these documents carefully or you will face serious punishment or heavy penalty.
