Established in April 2002, Shanghai Electronic Commerce Association (SECA) is a cross-sector, trans-ownership and non-profit industry organization as legal person organized voluntarily by e-commerce enterprises and institutions in Shanghai. Currently, SECA has 130 members.
SECA publishes Briefings monthly to be distributed to the members and governmental departments; Training Department has the qualification for training e-commerce specialists; Law Department provides member with law services; Consulting Department organizes promotion activities and forums for members and provides a range of consulting services. SECA also conducts e-commerce exchanges and cooperation at home and abroad.
SECA's mission is to serve the members, protect their legal rights and interests, bring the leading role of the members into full play in terms of e-commerce technology innovation and application management, act as a bridge between the government, society, enterprises and institutions, provide coordination service and technical support for the development of e-commerce in the society and the industry, and promote the healthy development of Shanghai e-commerce industry.
