Qixia Mountain

Qixia Mountain
(qī xiá shān 栖霞山), also named as Sheshan Mountain (shè shān 摄山), is located at the northeast suburb area of Nanjing City (nán jīng 南京), Jiangsu Province (jiāng sū shěng 江苏省). With mountains all around, Qixia Mountain is facing Yangtze River (cháng jiāng 长江). It covers an area of about 860 hectares, with the highest peak of 286 meters, which is called Sanmao Peak (sān máo fēng 三茅峰). Qixia Mountain is reputed as “the first bright and elegant mountain of Jinling”(jīn líng dì yī xiù míng shān 金陵第一明秀山) by Emperor Qianlong (qán long dì 乾隆帝).

Huaguoshan Mountain

   Huaguoshan Mountain
Located seven kilometers southeast of the urban Lianyungang (lián yún gǎng 连云港) with a summit of 635 meters over sea level, Huaguoshan Mountain (huā guǒ shān 花果山) is popularized in a well-known Chinese novel "Journey to the West"(xī yóu jì 西游记). It covers an area of 84.3 square kilometers, with 136 peaks. Huanguoshan Mountain is reputed as the No.1 Fairyland in East Sea Area (dōng hǎi dì yī shèng jìng 东海第一胜境). The grotesque rocks, beautiful scene of the sea and historic sites in Huaguoshan Mountain are amazing and attract a large quantity of tourists.

Tianmu Lake

Tianmu Lake
Located 8 kilometers south of Liyang City (lì yáng shì 溧阳市) in Jiangsu Province (jiāng sū shěng 江苏省), Tianmu Lake (tiān mù hú 天目湖) has a vast extent of over 300 square kilometers. Tianmu Lake reputed as the “pearl on the south area of the Yangtze River”(jiāng nán míng zhū 江南明珠) and “Green Fairyland”(lǜ sè xiān jìng 绿色仙境). It resembles a pair of limpid eyes of a young lady, thus got the name “Tianmu Lake”. Embracing with rich tourism resources, Tinamu Lake Tourist Resort now gets two AAAA core areas, which are Tianmu Lake Natural Scenery (tiān mù hú shān shuǐ yuán jǐng qū 天目湖山水园景区), South Mountain Bamboo Ocean (nán shān zhú hǎi jǐng qū 南山竹海景区).

 Slender West Lake
Located in the west suburb of Yangzhou City (yáng zhōu shì 扬州市), Jiangsu Province (jiāng sū shěng 江苏省), the Slender West Lake (shòu xī hú 瘦西湖) is famous for its scenic splendor. It is 4 kilometers in length and less than 100 meters in width, covering an area of more than 30 hectares. The Slender West Lake is like a tall and slender beauty in comparison with the West lake in Hangzhou (háng zhōu 杭州). The lake is typical of the Chinese water-based garden art combining the grace and elegance of the south with the grandeur and magnificence of the north.

Xuanwu Lake

   Xuanwu Lake
Xuanwu Lake
(xuán wǔ hú 玄武湖), situated in northeast portion of Nanjing City (nán jīng shì 南京市), at the foot of Zhongshan Mountain (zhōng shān 钟山), is a beautiful scenic spot. The lake covers an area of 444 hectares with a coastline of 15 kilometers in circumferences. It is one of the three most famous lakes in the southern area of Yangtze River (cháng jiāng 长江), while the other two are West Lake (xī hú 西湖) in Hangzhou (háng zhōu 杭州) and South Lake (nán hú 南湖) in Jiaxing (jiā xīng 嘉兴). Xuanwu Lake Park is the largest inner city park in the southern area of Yangtze River.
