The Shikumen Open House Museum

"Wulixiang" literally means "home" in the Shanghai dialect. "Dao Wulixiang Lai Zuo Zuo" means coming to my house and sitting for a while. "Open House" in English refers to the custom of neighbours informally dropping in for a visit to one's home. "Open House" follows on in meaning from "Open Invitation".

Shanghai Science and Technology Museum (上海科技馆) is a large museum in Pudong, Shanghai, close to Century Park, the largest park of the city. The museum incorporates an IMAX theatre, and as of 2006 there are 12 main exhibits open to the public, including "Spectrum of Life", "World of Robots" and "Information Era".

The Shanghai Museum of Natural Sciences

The Shanghai Museum of Natural Sciences is one of the largest museums of natural sciences in China. Located at downtown Shanghai, the museum features some British traditional style and covers an area of 12,880 square meters.

Prepared in November 1956, the Shanghai Museum of Natural Sciences opened the Division Museum of Animals to the public in 1960, and the Division Museum of Plants in 1984. The building for exhibition of samples covers a floor space of 3,053 square meters. The exhibition halls of the museum are situated in the Shanghai Botanic Garden and cover a total space of 4,726 square meters.

Shanghai Museum

Located in the center of Shanghai in People's Square, Shanghai Museum is a large museum of ancient Chinese art. The museum style and presentation surround visitors with artifacts demonstrating ancient wisdom and philosophy. The exterior design of the round dome and the square base symbolizes the ancient idea of a round heaven and a square land.

The museum is divided into eleven galleries and three exhibition halls. The eleven Galleries cover most of the major categories of Chinese art: Ancient Bronze, Ancient Ceramics, Paintings, Calligraphy, Ancient Sculpture, Ancient Jade, Coins, Ming and Qing Furniture, Seals, and Minority Nationalities.
