The Zhihua TempleThe Zhihua Temple (Zhì huà Sì 智化寺 Temple of Wisdom Attained) is a Buddhist temple in Beijing. It is located in the Lumicang (lù mǐ cāng 禄米仓) hutong, in the Chaoyangmen (cháo yáng mén 朝阳门) area of the Dongcheng District (dōng chéng chéng 东城区), within the Second Ring Road to the north of Jinbaojie Street (jīn bǎo jiē 金宝街). It was formerly the ancestral temple of Wang Zhen, a eunuch of the Rites Supervising Office in the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It was first built in the 8th year (1443) of the Zhengtong reign, and Emperor Yingzong gave an imperial name Baoen Zhihua Temple.

The Fahai TempleThe Fahai Temple (fǎhǎi sì 法海寺) is Ming-Dynasty Buddhist temple located at the foot of Cuiwei Mountain (cuìweī 翠微), about two kilometers to the north-east of Moshikou (mó shìkǒu 模式口), Shijingshan District, Beijing City, China.

Fahai Temple is well known in the world for its ten large well-preserved murals in the Mahavira Hall. It was built according to the geological situation and scaled upward along the mountain. The Hall of Doctrine Guarding Buddha's Warrior Attendants houses the towers of bell and drum on the left and right sides. On the high platform there are the former sites of the Heavenly King Hall, Jialan Hall and Master Hall and two corridors. The Main Hall sits in the middle.

The Yunmengshan National Forest Park

The Yunmengshan National Forest Park (yún méng shān guó jiā sēn lín gōng yuán 云蒙山国家森林公园) lies at the border of Miyun District (mì yún xiàn 密云县) and Huairou District (huái róu xiàn 怀柔县). With its main peak rising more than 1,400 meters (4,600 feet) above the sea-level, the forest park covers a vast area of about 2,200 hectares (5,456 acres). A superb summer resort, the scenic area has soaring mountains, sheer precipitous cliffs, grotesque rocks, cascading waterfalls and running springs. The dense forests, the chirping birds and the changeable clouds add allure to the park. During July and August, the mountain is always veiled in mist. On sunny mornings, the sun pierces through the mist and the clouds and rises up into the sky slowly; magnificent and glorious.
