Nanputuo Temple Overview
South Putuo or Nanputuo Temple (Nán Pǔtuó Sì 南普陀寺) is a famous Buddhist temple founded in the Tang Dynasty in the Chinese city of Xiamen. It is so named because it is south of the Buddhist holy site Mount Putuo in Zhejiang Province. South Putuo Temple located under the Xiamen Wulao Peaks (wǔlǎofēng 五老峰) the main temple is Bong Goddess of Mercy, Zhejiang Zhoushan Putuo Mountain, south of and located in one of China's four Buddhist temples, it is known as the South Putuo Temple.

Kulangsu (Gǚlàngyǚ 鼓浪屿) , literally "Drum Wave Islet" is a car-free island off the coast of Xiàmén, Fujian Province in southern China, about 2 square kilometers (0.77 sq mi) in area. The island landscape typically famous for its beautiful scene , known for it lovely nick name of "Sea Garden" is also a national sign of scenic spots.

A 10-minute boat trip from Xiamen, Gulangyu is a relaxing retreat of meandering lanes and shaded backstreets, set in an architectural twilight of colonial villas and crumbling remains. It’s well worth spending a few days exploring the place. It is home to about 20,000 people and is a very popular tourist destination.

Xiamen

Xiamen (xià mén 厦门) is the second largest city in Fujian. Legend has it that egrets once made home there, hence its another name of "Egrets' Island (lù dǎo 鹭岛)". The city is 1,516.12 square kilometers in area and has a population of 1.17 million. The best tourist season lasts from April through to November. Xiamen and its surrounding countryside offer spectacular scenery and pleasant tree-lined beaches.
