“Did you eat?” This was the most common greeting in China in 1996. In the beginning of 1990s, I often heard people extending greetings to their neighbors in this way, whenever in afternoon or in evening.

Nothing Special, Beacuse I Get Used to It
This is my foreign teacher Collins, an interesting teacherewho comes from Britain but teaches us American Culture.

At the beginning of the first class, he wrote down his name on the blackboard and said,"Don't worry about this course for I come from Britain,I do have a big American family background..." Then he began to tell us about his numerous American relatives: where do they live, what do they do, how many times he had visited them and so how long he had stayed in America... At last, he said in a very British humorous way," And you should trust me because I have a degree on this subject."

Let's Be Friends
Qingzi Jingbo said she likes red best, but she didn't wear anything in red when I saw her. She laughed joyously, pointed to her hat and said that it looked nicer to match like this; I suddenly became fond of this girl who was of the same age with me.

She wore a big pair of glass, but I guessed that she was not shortsighted; as she couldn't understand me she would wink wittily, and nearsighted people won't do this very often.
