Day 1

Detailed Itinerary: Welcome to China! You will first arrive in Shanghai. Shanghai, the largest city in China, is an amazing mix of the ancient and hi-tech western civilization. It is a multi-cultural metropolis with both modern and traditional Chinese features.

Day 2
Yuyuan GardenPlace & Transport: Shanghai
Today's Activities: Yuyuan Garden, Yuyuan Market, The Bund, Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai Hua Ling Silk Exhibition Hall
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Shanghai Oriental Pearl Revolving Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: We start the day by visiting Oriental Pearl TV Tower. It is one of the tallest TV towers in the world, known for its distinctive spheres, or "pearls". Oriental Pearl TV Tower stands across the river from the Bund, among the exciting architecture of the east bank. The Shanghai History Museum is Located on the first floor of the Oriental TV Tower. There you can see the three major exhibition units reflecting Shanghai's history, modern and recent revolutionary history respectively.

Lunch is at Oriental Pearl Revolving Restaurant. Located on top of the Shanghai Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Oriental Pearl Revolving Restaurant is the highest one in Asia. The buffet features hundreds of Chinese and western dishes while the restaurant revolves once every two hours.

In the afternoon, we take a relaxing walk to the lovely old Yuyuan Garden, the most famous garden in Shanghai which is decorated by beautiful pavilions, miniature lakes, bridges and rock formations. You will pass the Yuyuan Market. It is also a shopper's paradise with many small shops, often housed in authentic historic structures, carrying everything from furniture to porcelain.

After that, we will go directly to the Bund - the old colonial sector, which is home to a myriad of European-styled buildings that face the Huangpu River. It is a must-see when visiting Shanghai. Architectural styles include gothic, baroque, Romanesque, and renaissance.

Day 3
Place & Transport: Shanghai to Guilin, Flight No. TBA
Today's Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Shanghai), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Guilin), Cruise in Zhouzhuang, Zhouzhuang Water Town
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Today you will visit Zhouzhuang, which is one of the famous water towns in China. Zhouzhuang is an ancient culture town in Southern China. The town is surrounded by water with many branching streams, stone bridges and old residence with black tiles and white wells. It is one of the famous water towns in China. An experience not to miss is the cruise on the river. Lunch is at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and take a flight to Guilin.

Day 4
Place & Transport: Guilin
Today's Activities: Reed Flute Cave, Elephant Trunk Hill, Guilin Ziyuan Pearl Shop
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at McFound Restaurant (A La Carte)
Detailed Itinerary: First visit Reed Flute Cave. Reed Flute Cave gets the name from the reeds used for making flutes and pipes that grow at its entrance. The cave is regarded as the largest and most impressive cave in Guilin. It is 240 meters long, and the length of the tour is about 550 meters offering a magic land of stalactites, stalagmites, stone pillars, stone curtains, birds, plants and animals in fantastic shapes and colors. The visit lasts for 40 minutes and there are a lot of steps. Watch your step as the lights are dim. You guide will show you by electric torch.

Lunch is at McFound Restaurant. A restaurant which decorated in traditional northern style, with wheaten food of full aroma and household atmosphere of authentic culture, is warmly welcome for customers.

Then, visit Elephant Trunk Hill. At the confluence of Li River and Peach Blossom River in the southwest of Guilin city, Elephant Trunk Hill is the symbol of Guilin. The Water Moon Cave is close to the river. The water flows through it and the cave looks like a moon floating in the water. The stone drooped into the water like an elephant drinking the water of the Li River.

Day 5
Li River Place & Transport: Guilin
Today's Activities: Li River Cruise
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: After the breakfast, transfer to the Zhujiang Pier and board the ship. The departure time will be at 9:30.A cruise along the Li River between Guilin and Yangshuo is an unforgettable experience. Between spectacular limestone peaks you'll see graceful bamboo groves, farmers tending rice paddies, and lumbering water buffaloes pulling carts or cooling off in the river. You may see fishermen gliding along on their narrow bamboo rafts, and if you're very lucky you might see one of the famous fishing cormorants. Chinese buffet lunch is at ship. You will arrive at Yangshuo pier around 13:30.
In the dry season (from late November to late February), you will get off the ship at a temporary pier and be transferred to your hotel.

Day 6
Place & Transport: Guilin to Beijing, Flight No. TBA
Today's Activities: Hotel to airport Transfer (Guilin), Airport to Hotel Transfer (Beijing), Yangshuo Countryside Cycling
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch
Detailed Itinerary: Experience the hustle & bustle of the Yangshou traffic for 10 minutes before you escape onto the country roads, lanes and tracks of the distinctive and beautiful Yangshou countryside. Biking alongside the paddy field and orchards that surround the famous mountains will give a fascinating insight into life in rural China. You will have a family visit on the half way. It is an opportunity to see a real country life and talk to the local farmers.
 
In the afternoon, transfer to the airport and take a flight to Shanghai.

Day 7
The Forbidden CityPlace & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: Tiananmen Square, The Forbidden City, Hutong Tour in Xicheng District, Lizexiang Pearl Store
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Courtyard 7 Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: After breakfast visit Tian'anmen Square, the symbol of Beijing and one of highlights of any Beijing tour. A walk in the Square will help discover the many points of interest. There is much to see.

The Forbidden City is the destination for the afternoon. The Emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties governed China for over 500 years for this the largest palace in the world. It is the "must see" in Beijing. The Treasure Houses hold all kinds of treasure owned by Qing dynasty royalty and give great insight into the daily life of the royal families.

Lunch is at Courtyard 7 Restaurant near the Hutong area. Its rustic Chinese design gives it real charm. This serves restaurant provides new modern French dishes as well as Chinese cuisine.

Then make the short trip back to the Hutong area where a rickshaw awaits to ride through the narrow alleys and passages. A visit to a local family is included then a walk over the Silver Ingot Bridge (Yinding Bridge) to hear the explanation about the different thresholds that mark the entry to the courtyard houses.

Day 8
Place & Transport: Beijing
Today's Activities: Temple of Heaven, The Mutianyu Great Wall(with round way cable car), Shahe Cloisonne Factory
Meals: Breakfast, Chinese Lunch at Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant
Detailed Itinerary: First visit Temple of Heaven. It is the place where emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties would offer sacrifice to heaven and pray for good harvests. You can see thousand of local people doing morning exercises including Tai Chi, dancing and Shuttlecock kicking.

Lunch is at Xin Shuang Quan Restaurant near Mutianyu Great Wall. This garden style restaurant serves farmhouse dishes, specializing in rainbow trout, sturgeon and salmon.

After that we will visit the Great Wall - Mutianyu Section which is less crowed than other sections. It is surrounded by wonderful landscape and has a rarely seen structure formed by three connected watch towers and the cable car provides a safe comfortable assent and decent.

Day 9

Excess Baggage Charges: Passengers holding an adult fare or half fare ticket are entitled to a free baggage allowance of 20kg, for economy class. Total weight of carryon baggage for each passenger may not exceed 5kg. The size may not exceed 20x40x 55cm.
