Xielu Mountain Villa (xiè lǔ shān zhuāng 谢鲁山庄) is located in Xielu Village (xiè lǔ cūn 谢鲁村), Wushi Town (wū shí zhèn 乌石镇) in Luchuan County (lù chuān xiàn 陆川县), Yulin City (yù lín shì 玉林市) of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region (guǎng xī zhuàng zú zì zhì qū 广西壮族自治区). It is one of the three classical gardens in Guangxi. Xielu Mountain Villa combines the natural scenery with the art of landscape, with simplicity and unique flavor.

Xielu Mountain Villa was constructed in 1920, and completed in 1927. It was originally a private villa of one major general of the Kuomintang, and called Shuren Academy of Classical Learning. It covers an area of more than 480 mu. All the architectures in the villa are constructed with brick, and covered with tiles. It can be divided into three parts: namely, the Langhuanfudi (láng huán fú dì 琅环福地), the front part and the rear part.

Langhuanfudi is the center of the villa, including the Huyin House (hú yǐn xuān 湖隐轩), Shuren Hall (shù rén táng 树人堂), Yiyun Pavilion (yǐ yún tíng 倚云亭) and Banshan Pavilion (bàn shān tíng 半山亭). The front part includes the front gate, the second gate, Zheliu Pavilion (zhé liǔ tíng 折柳亭) and Hanxiao Road (hán xiào lù 含笑路). The rear part includes the White Cloud Road (bái yún lù 白云路) and the Plum Valley (méi gǔ 梅谷). There are one spring, two walls, tree levels, four gates, five rockeries, six houses, seven ponds, and eight pavilions.

Before and after the Tomb-Sweeping Day (qīng míng jié 清明节), there are groups of white cranes gathering at the south of the villa. In 1980, a pavilion built at the top of the hill, called Wanghe Pavilion, where you can overlook the flying white cranes.

Entering the first gate Menlou (mén lóu 门楼), and then going through the second gate and the little bridge, walking along the narrow path, you can see the a common door on which there written”迎屐"(yíng jī). Behind the door there is a courtyard covering an area of more than 20 square meters. It is the reception place. To the east of the courtyard, there is a cross-shaped window. And there is a door in front of the courtyard leading you to Langhuanfudi.

Huyin House is located in the center of the villa. The house looks like a boat hidden in the lake, hence the name Huyin House, also called Boat Hall (chuán tīng 船厅).

The whole villa is in the litchi forest. More than 200 species of flowers and plants are growing there, dotted among the ancient and elegant pavilions and houses. All of these will make you forget to return.
