Datun Tusi Manor |
The whole manor was built with the mountain in mind, facing to the low and flat tableland. It can be divided into three sections, namely, the left part, the middle part and the right part. Within the area of the left part, there are the East Garden (dōng huā yuán 东花园), granary and the Xiulou Mansion (xiù lóu 绣楼). The East Park is also called Yiyuan Garden (yì yuán 亦园), which was used for receiving the guests. There are the flowerbed and the guest rooms, the architecture of which are delicate. The floor is laid with flagstones. The walls in the garden are painted with pictures, which are all of antique flavor. In the middle part, there are three halls. All the rooms and halls in the manor are divided by the stone walls. The high walls and the double eaves made the manor of primitive simplicity and massive. There are 6 blockhouses around the manor. All of them are in their own use. From all of these, you can imagine how heavily guarded and how solemn the manor was. The manor is more than 80 meters long, 60 meters wide, covering an area of more than 6000 square meters. All the furniture and the stone carvings and wooden engravings are with distinct feature of the culture of Yi Minority Group. The Datun Tusi Manor is with great significance for the research of the folk culture of the nations. Datun Tusi Manor
