Guangji Temple

Guangji Temple

Located on Inner Fuchengmen Street (fù chéng mén nèi 阜成门内), Guangji Temple (guǎng jì sì 广济寺) is one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China. Guangji Temple means the temple of great charity and it is one of the major Buddhist temples in Beijing. Since 1953, the temple has been the headquarters of the Chinese Buddhist Association and a center for Buddhist learning. This temple is surrounded by the tranquility of old cypress trees and lush greenery along the deep winding paths. The Beijing Buddhist Culture Research Centre (zhōng guó jiào xié huì 中国佛教协会) was established here in 2002.

     Huguang Guilt Hall
First built in 1807, the Huguang Guild Hall (hú guǎng hùi guǎn 湖广会馆) is located on the south of Hufang Bridge (hǔ fǎng qiáo 虎坊桥), Xuanwu District (xuān wǔ qū 宣武区) in Beijing (běi jīng 北京). With a long history of nearly 200 years, the Huguang Guild Hall is regarded as one of the ten greatest wooden theatres of the world. It is the only existing guild hall with a theatre in Beijing.

Hongluo Temple
(hóng luó sì 红螺寺) is 4 kilometers away from north Huairou District (huái róu qū 怀柔区) of Beijing (běi jīng 北京). It is covers an area of 8 square kilometers and integrates the natural landscape with manmade features. First built in the fourth year of Xiankang (xián kāng 咸康) during East Jin (dāng jìn 东晋) Dynasty, Hongluo Temple was renovated during Tang Dynasty (táng cháo 唐朝). It was called Daming Temple (dà míng sì 大明寺) at first, and changed its name to “Huguozifu Temple”(hù guó zī fú sì 护国资福寺) during Ming Dynasty (míng cháo 明朝), and Hongluo Temple as its popular name.

Fenghuangling Scenic Spot (fèng huáng lǐng zì rán fēng jǐng gōng yuán 凤凰岭自然风景公园) is located inside the Farm of West Outskirts in northwestern Haidian District (hǎi diàn qū 海淀区), Beijing City. Covering an area about 15.33 square kilometers, the park boasts beautiful natural scenery and historical relics. It is reputed as the Small Yellow Mountain.

Beijing Badaling Wildlife World

Being the largest zoo of mountain wildlife in China, Beijing Badaling Wildlife World (běi jīng bā dá lǐng yě shēng dòng wù shì jiè 八达岭野生动物世界) lies at the foot of the Great Wall (cháng chéng 长城) at Badaling with an area of about 400 hectares. It is more than 60 kilometers from Beijing, and is adjacent to the Badaling Expressway (bā dá lǐng gāo sù gōng lù 八达岭高速公路) and the newly built Large Badaling Parking Lot (bā dá lǐng tíng chē chǎng 八达岭停车场). Boasting about 10,000 heads of wildlife in more than 100 genera, the Wildlife World is an ecological tourist park integrating animal watching, salvation and breeding, leisure and vacationing, popular science education and environmental protection.
