Shangri-La (Xiāng gé lí lā 香格里拉) is the "Eden in dream". Since it first appeared in British novelist James Hilton’s Lost Horizon in the 1939, it has been associated with the mystique of a place which could not possibly exist here on Earth. In Tibetan, Shangri-La means the "sun and moon in heart", an ideal home only found in heaven. There the lofty and continuous snowy mountains, endless grasslands, steep and grand gorges, azure lakes and the bucolic villages always leave a deep impression on visitors.

Located in China’s eastern Zhejiang Province (zhè jiāng shěng 浙江省), Shaoxing (shào xīng 绍兴) is an ancient city that possesses beautiful scenery. Known as the city of river, the city of bridge, the city of calligraphy, and the city of soul, Shaoxing attracts tourists from around the world.
The city’s network of rivers and bridges give Shaoxing another name - the Oriental Venice (dōng fāng wēi ní sī 东方威尼斯). Located in Shatoujiao (shā tóu jiǎo 沙头角), Shenzhen City (shēn zhèn shì 深圳市), Minsk World (mín g sī kè háng mǔ shì jiè 明思克航母世界) is the first military theme park taking aircraft carrier as body in China and even in Asia. By the mid-thirteenth century, the Mongols had subjugated north China, Korea, and the Muslim kingdoms of Central Asia and had twice penetrated Europe. With the resources of his vast empire, Kublai Khan (hū bì liè 忽必烈, 1215-94), a grandson of Genghis Khan (chéng jí sī hàn, 成吉思汗 1167?-1227) and the supreme leader of all Mongol tribes, began his drive against the Southern Song (nán sòng 南宋). Even before the extinction of the Song dynasty (sòng cháo 宋朝), Kublai Khan had established the first alien dynasty to rule all China–the Yuan (yuán cháo 元朝, 1279-1368).

In the late stage of the Three Kingdoms period (sān guó 三国), Sima Yan (sī mā yān 司马炎), the ruler of the state of Jin ( jìn guó 晋国), conquered the Kingdom of Shu (shǔguó 蜀国) and then took control of the Kingdom of Wei (wèi guó 魏国). However, Sima Yan was a man great ambition .Soon after the previous successes, he began to plan to put the Kingdom of Wu (wú guó 吴国) into his pocket so as to unify China as a whole. He called his civil and military officials to discuss the plan to destroy the Kingdom of Wu. Most of them thought that it would be difficult to try to destroy the Kingdom of Wu with one action because the Kingdom of Wu was still powerfull. So it would be better to wait until fuller preparations were made.

The International College of Beijing (ICB) is an integral part of China Agricultural University (CAU). ICB was founded on April 20th, 1995, as the result of a joint venture educational program between itself and the University of Colorado at Denver (UCD). The agreement reached between UCD and Chinese educational authorities, which led to the creation of the International College of Beijing, is now recognized as being among the first bilateral educational programs authorized by the Chinese government. In April, 1988, ICB started the cooperation with the University of Luton, UK, and was formally accepted as one of the first joint venture educational schools by the Beijing Institute of Education. Recently a new joint venture educational program has been planning and preparing, which would help ICB develop better in the future.
